The purpose of this video vox pop was not to illustrate people’s little knowledge about Romania, but to highlight the country’s main attractions which are more or less appealing to foreigners. I am happy to realise that there is more than our football team or the name of Dracula that interests the non-Romanians.
We hope writers like Emil Cioran or Mircea Eliade, great inventors such as Aurel Vlaicu, sculptors like Constantin Brancusi (whose works you can see at Tate Modern) or even the name of Nadia Comaneci, the single gymnast ever to get a perfect score at the Olympics, -we hope that they will soon get to your attention.
Now what do you know about Romania? We’ll be happy to see your comment.
nothing good ever comes out of it. it all stays inside
I`ve been few times in Romania, what i see there its one beautiful country with nice landscape and friendly people.First of all for me the best places for visiting are:Timisuara,Constanza (its on Black sea) and all part of Transylvania, Sibiu,Cluj. You can travel very easy inside the country its good for hitchhiking and also they have a very good public transport.Maybe half of the population speak English, some of them speak French and Russian but however these people will do anything to help you if you need something.
